Irwin’s Cabins is a family-run cottage resort, located North of Kingston, in the heart of one of Ontario’s premier fishing regions- Frontenac County.


Set on the shores of expansive Bobs Lake, Irwin’s Cabins offers guests a variety of ways to stay.  There are 7 basic, wood cabins, as well as 3 more modern units that current owners, Geoff & Nadine, have recently added (2 campers and a lake house). Every unit at Irwin’s Cabins is lakefront, or only a few steps from it. Bobs Lake is a very large body of water made up of many small bays and inlets, with plenty of weed lines and rocky shoals to shelter a wide variety of sportfish. Bobs is also known for having an abundance of crappie to keep even the most experienced pan fish addict busy.

Fisheries Management Zones

In Ontario the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry has divided the province into 20 Fisheries Management Zones or FMZ's.  Each FMZ has specific fishing rules and regulations that vary by waterbody, region, and fish species.  It is critical that you know the regulations for the FMZ you are fishing in.  Failure to follow the rules can lead to fines, property seizure and more.  Click the button below to learn more about the FMZ you will be visiting.
